Client Programs


Cooking Program

This program is one full day, once a week. It is taught in a small group setting. There are five clients and it is approximately one year from start to finish. The clients start with very basic skills being taught and by the end of the program they will make a full meal. The clients learn to work with Canada's Food Guide while making meals.

Yoga Class

Is offered four mornings a week. To meet the needs of our clients, twice a week it is chair yoga and twice a week it is yoga on mats.

Social Skills

Are taught once a week usually from September to June. This course covers many topics relating to social and relationship skills such as self-esteem, understanding emotions, communication skills, and anger management. Skills that clients may be struggling with on a daily basis are also targeted.

Job Coachiing

Is usually available for three months of the year if there is a grant. The clients learn skills that prepare them for the workforce. A job coach helps the clients find places to work or gain work experience in the community. The job coach also supervises the clients work.
